Boarding Groups For Star Wars: Rise Of The Resistance
The Walt Disney World Resort recently celebrated the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disney's Hollywood Studios park. The first phase of opening for the new land did not include the opening of Star Wars: Rise Of The Resistance. This attraction is a BIG deal for Disney! This MASSIVE attraction has multiple types of systems in place throughout the guest's experience. It's truly a unique attraction that will be marveled by all including others in the theme park industry.
Who's the attraction for? The height requirement is 40" and taller for kids, tweens, teens, and adults.

"The Resistance needs your help! Hidden in the forest outside Black Spire Outpost, the Resistance is gathering recruits for a secret mission.

IMPORTANT - This is a extremely popular attraction and if unprepared, you will see this upon arrival at Disney's Hollywood Studios....
"Boarding Groups" are the key to it all folks! Boarding Groups are not Fast Passes. Boarding Groups for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will be only available AFTER the park opening. The "opening" time is the one that is published - NOT the one the guests are let in. Boarding groups are assigned in first thing in the morning and are first come, first serve. These boarding groups usually deplete very quickly.
All members of your party must enter the park in order to be able to reserve a boarding group slot.
Tips:
1) Do Not Open The My Disney Experience App until you have all members of your party in the park past the main gate.
2) Make sure you phone is allowing the My Disney Experience App to see your GPS location and provide touch notifications. Backup boarding groups sometimes become available and if the opportunity arises - having this notification set up will allow you take advantage.
3) Arrive 60 minutes prior to published opening time of Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Guests can reserve a boarding group at the opening time via the My Disney Experience app and cast members will be stationed to assist and reserve there as well. Below is an image of what the My Disney Experience Application looks like for the boarding groups:
From the above My Disney Experience capture of the boarding group page, you will see "Now Boarding". You will receive a boarding group number in the morning and you can check back on the app to see if your group is called to come ride. You should receive a notification 1-2 hours prior to boarding but if you're curious where you're at in the wait - you can always check on the My Disney Experience App directly.
